Selecting and Installing Booster Pumps

Description
Credit Hours: 1.0 IA Credit/ Irrigation
NC ICLB course # 11943 - 1 Irrigation CEU
NJ Landscape Irrigation Contractor- 1 CEC
ORLCB- 1 CEH
FNGLA-1 CEU

Instructor: Kurt Thompson

As the demand on potable and reclaimed water systems grows, the available pressure of the water to be used for irrigation is declining and will continue to decline down to the 45 psi minimum that is required in the code. Hardly enough to overcome the pressure losses in even a well-designed irrigation system to provide enough pressure to prevent the sprinklers from operating inefficiently.
At the conclusion of the course, the learner should be able to:
1. Know how booster pumps work in an irrigation system.
2. Select and install a booster pump to meet the needs of the irrigation system.

Who should attend: Landscape and irrigation professionals who want to learn where and how to install booster pumps on a landscape irrigation system.
